# About This Website
Hey there! This website is created and maintained using [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md), my knowledge management tool of choice. After years of wrestling with WordPress as my primary CMS, I decided to simplify my digital presence in 2025 and focus more on what matters - the actual content.
The site is published using [Obsidian Publish](https://obsidian.md/publish), which lets me share my digital garden while preserving all those cool interconnected notes and backlinks. If you're curious about how Obsidian Publish works, check out their [official page](https://obsidian.md/publish).
## Welcome to My Digital Garden
This website is my [[Digital Gardens|digital garden]] - a space where I practice [[learning in public]]. Unlike traditional blogs where everything needs to be polished and perfect, this is more like a real garden with stuff at different stages of growth:
- Some notes are like mature trees - fully developed ideas I've thought through
- Others are tiny seedlings - just beginning to take shape
- Many are like wild flowers - random thoughts and observations that pop up
- And then there are the experiments - who knows if they'll work out!
You'll probably bump into some dead links while exploring. Don't worry - these point to notes in my private Obsidian vault that I haven't published yet. Some might never make it to the public garden, and that's okay!
## The Two Gardens: Public and Private
Here's the thing - behind this public garden, I have this massive private vault in Obsidian. Think of it as an overgrown forest with years of collected thoughts, random ideas, and stuff I've saved from all over the internet. It's beautiful chaos in there!
But I've learned something important along the way:
> Filling up a "digital brain" as if it were a filing cabinet is highly unlikely to lead to meaningful knowledge and wisdom.

That's why I'm not just dumping everything from my private vault here. I'm sharing selectively, and here's why:
1. It's a complete mess! We're talking about years of unorganized thoughts and half-baked ideas
2. Some notes are just too personal or work-in-progress to share
3. I want this public space to be more intentional
## Growing and Learning Together
I'm treating this website as an experiment in [[learning in public]]. Some areas are pretty well organized, while others… well, let's just say they're "under construction." You might find:
- Resources I discover and find useful
- Thoughts and reflections on various topics
- Half-formed ideas that need more exploration
- Connections between seemingly unrelated concepts
The cool thing about a digital garden is that it's always evolving. Sometimes I'll be super active in certain areas, while other parts might not see updates for a while. That's totally fine - that's how gardens work!
If you're curious about what I'm up to right now, hop over to my **[[Now|now]]** page. Want to know what tools and software I use? Check out my **[[Uses]]** page.
I'm excited to have you here as I figure this out. Feel free to wander around, and don't mind the occasional construction sign or overgrown path - it's all part of the garden's charm!
