Notion has recently gotten a lot of spotlight within the productivity community as a prominent note-taking application, and a worthy alternative to the age-old Evernote. It is a great tool to build wikis about everything in one’s life. There have also been instances where people have used the tool as full-fledged project managers or calendars for themselves.
Despite, all the great reviews about the app, there are surely some shortcomings. One of the biggest, for my personal workflows, is the absence of support of Siri Shortcuts on the iOS apps. I use Siri Shortcuts to automate many aspects of my life and I use them every single day. With the launch of the new Shortcut widgets with iOS 14, it was even more imperative for me to be able to integrate Notion with Shortcuts. Well, I did find a way.
I use Shortcut widgets on iPhone and iPad to quickly access my notes on Notion like this.
Step #1: Open the note that you wish to link via Shortcuts, and copy its URL.
Step #2: In the Shortcuts app, create a new shortcut and follow the steps below.
And that is it! Clicking on those shortcuts will open the notes directly within the Notion app ???????? You can even download the above shortcut and import it right away.
